Michael Chen, MD is a Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Radiology who has been in practice at Rush for over 16 years. He received his medical degree in his home state at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. His training consists of neurology residency, stroke and neuroendovascular surgery fellowships at Yale, Harvard and Columbia respectively.
He is the commissioning editor for the Journal of Neurointerventional Surgery, Past-President of the Society for the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery, and has received research grants to study brain aneurysms in women and novel treatment techniques and devices.
